Demak Motors is showcasing its new modeled motorcycles which are now being sold both in the domestic and International Markets with labels "Made in ZamboEcozone, Zamboanga City".  Zamboanga City Special Economic Zone Authority and Freeport Chairman and Administrator Georgina P. Yu spearheaded the product launching and sticker labeling of the Zamboanga-made motorcycles together with Mayor Celso Lobregat, Ambassador Donald Dee, Congressman Erbie Fabian and the ZamboEcozone Directors Asbi Edding, Arsenio Gonzales, Jose Suan and Butch Blanco.

Chairman Yu said that this product launching marks another history in Zamboanga City as it now has a product which is competitive in the domestic and international markets, considering that the Philippines and the Southeast Asian Region within the BIMP-EAGA are dominantly good-selling markets for motorcycles, being the cheapest motor vehicle that an ordinary citizen can afford.

Demak motorcycles are beng sold at a reasonable price, much lower than the other brands being sold in the market today.  quality and durability is measured by satisfying performance and good track records set its mother company in Kuching, Sarawak, East Malaysia, who brought the company at ZamboEcozone in San Ramon.

Demak Philippines General Manager Lin Bin said that this product launching and labeling of their branded motorcycles signified doing good business in Zamboanga City and the entire country.

He said that in a few months of operation, their market has already reached the entire Mindanao region, the Visayas and even in Metro Manila, wherein Demak motorcycles are in demand to the public due to its user-friendly features, performance and stylish models.(PR)9.1.6

These efforts realized when the present administration of ecozone with the full support of its Board of Directors approved the budget allocation for the construction of such basic ground preparations which is necessary for the forthcoming international port facility.

ZamboEcozone Chairman and Administrator Georgina P. Yu said that this project will kick-off the realization of the long time dream of Zamboanga City, that is, to have an international seaport facility being the only one in the Visayas and Mindanao. An American firm had already expressed intention in investing and building the world class port facility which will soon be enjoyed by both the foreign and local locator investing in the zone.

Chairman Yu said that ecozone have started implementing the Phase 1 & 2 of the seafront road complex which is a six lane road with substantial drainage system as required by its foreign investors.
Said project was approved by the ZFA Board of Directors for implementation by contract for the construction and concrete paving of ZamboEcozone 2nd Industrial Park Road Network (Seafront-Phase I&II).

Phase I of its project has a duration of 180 calendar days for completion with 75percent completion as of this month while Phase II has a duration of 240 calendar days for completion with 25 percent accomplishment as of today.

The international Seaport Facility of ZamboEcozone is located within its 2nd Industrial Park formerly owned by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and managed by San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm. The said facility has an access road just right in front of the main gate of ecozone in the west coast of the city.
Chairman Yu is optimistic that with this present development, the would-be investors in the South East Asian Region and other parts of the world can now comfortably enjoy the perks and incentives being offered by the government to those foreign capitalists who do business inside ecozone.
